July 11th to July 17th
Alamogordo is famous for pistachio nuts. Visited a winery and pistachio farm.
The name of the farm was "Heart of the Desert". The wines were good. We bought 2 bottles of wine and some pistachios.
Alamogordo has a very short Watertower. We thought it odd, but we saw a picture from 1910 and there it was.
This was our campsite at Lee memorial State Park close to Alamogordo and we met another couple with a casita.
18 Miles to go from 4,300 ft at Alamogordo to Cloudcroft at 8,653. The temperature was delightful up there we spent almost a whole day hiking.
We camped at lake Brantley close to Carlsbad and at the bottom of the dam where they let water out all the locals have a great time when it's 104 degrees
In town we had to have a brew from my brewing company. My whole name is Douglas Milton Asbury.
It took two attempts, the first day we had thunderstorms and they closed the place down. The second day we had a very nice trip. You can ride an elevator down or you can walk down. By all means walk down if you can. It takes 45 minutes just to get down. Pictures do not relay the beauty of the place this is our fourth time, felt like our first. If you are somewhat handicapped go down by elevator and do the main room and take the shortcut.
July 17th we moved our house to Roswell, New Mexico. We are at Bottomless Lakes State Park. On the way we did a adventure lab at Artisan, Mexico. They have many bronze statues depicting the history of the area.

How was your beer?
