September 25th to October 1
We were supposed to visit Patty and Tom Dean, but a storm interfered with that and we decided not to go where there was flood warnings. We stayed close to Scranton Pennsylvania and it rained everyday. We visited the steam museum that has a round house with the trains can be turned around
Scranton was a big iron producing town and this is what's left of three of its ovens.
We made it out of Pennsylvania and stayed at Tuckahoe State Park in Maryland.
We visited Saint Michael's where we used to bring our sailboat from the western shore of the Chesapeake. Because of the storm The Tide is very high and they've had some flooding
After a couple days at Tuckahoe we started down to Janes Island State Park in crisfield Maryland where we had our boat the last time we were here.
On the way we stopped at Cambridge Maryland. Did an adventure lab there and was quite impressed by the old houses.
Heart of our adventure in Cambridge was a adventure lab that took us too many different locations in town the plaque explains Methodist Church. Read it carefully
We stayed at Janes Island in Crisfield. This is where we brought our sailboat to get it ready for travel. Crisfield is a major seafood provider blue crabs and oysters.
A place we always wanted to go when we were here was Tangier Island. We went this time on a tour boat.
As we left Chris field two bald eagles were sitting on what was left of a fishing boat.
On Tangier they bury their families in their front yard and they only go 3 ft deep because of the water level.
Our next stop was Cashie River and RV Park in Windsor North Carolina. This is a small Park with full hookup and a shower house with a free washer and dryer use.
At this part they also have tree houses right on the river. Notice the arrows the trees literally go through the houses.Today we went a little bit north to visit a town called Edenton. It had an adventure lab that was very interesting, the town has some of the oldest buildings in North Carolina.
